Albruce Touaev
Albruce Touaev is a hometown native to Egg Harbor Township New Jersey. Albruce has lived in the Brunswick New Jersey area for quite some time commuting back and forth to Manhattan New York where he trained Jiu-Jitsu at the Renzo Gracie Academy before opening Harbor Jiu-Jitsu in October of 2019. Even after moving back to his hometown area and opening Harbor Jiu Jitsu, coach Albruce commuted frequently up the Garden State Parkway to train and continue his progression at the Renzo Gracie Academy NYC.
Albruce first began his Jiu-Jitsu journey during the Fall of 2015 where he stumbled across the Jiu-Jitsu club while studying Health Administration at Rutgers The State University of New Jersey. After being a member of the Rutgers Club Wrestling Team for two seasons he made his transition to joining the Rutgers BJJ Club. Alumni to the university and head coach of the Jiu Jitsu club was Garry Tonon, a world renown black belt & world championship level competitor. Professor Garry Tonon is also academy owner to Brunswick BJJ now referred to as Garry Tonon Jiu Jitsu. Albruce would eventually become a member of Brunswick BJJ while finishing up his last couple years at Rutgers.
Upon graduating from Rutgers in May of ‘17, Albruce made a commitment to train full time to the best of his ability out of the Renzo Gracie Academy and Brunswick BJJ. It is at RGA’s “Blue Basement” that Albruce would begin the bulk of his competitive training learning from one of the greatest coaches in combat sports & Mixed Martial Arts - John Danaher
Along with training Jiu Jitsu, Albruce works to integrate his skills & athleticism with MMA training sessions. Practicing out of the Renzo Gracie Academy in NYC, Albruce was able to share the mats with UFC greats such as Georges St. Pierre, Jake Shields, & Katlyn Chookagian. Those experiences were tremendous all around and Coach Albruce has not dropped the ball. With consistency in progression and learning of new techniques, Albruce frequents to Austin Texas where his coaches Garry Tonon & John Danaher now reside.
With the immeasurable gratitude for the experiences gained learning & training with the worlds top athletes/coaches in various Mixed Martial Arts disciplines, Albruce is a truly dedicated instructor to his students. His passion and desire to help others comes to show with how much he has put into Harbor Jiu Jitsu. By helping spread knowledge and interest in training Jiu Jitsu, Albruce has staked the flag in the Atlantic County/South Jersey area for future athletes & enthusiasts to come. More recently Albruce has even further involved himself with his community by becoming a local volunteer firefighter with the Cardiff Fire Company #1 of Egg Harbor Township.
